Arc began Burnstream Court in 2002 to honor his late wife, Mary, who bought their first Airstream. Since that time Arc's vision has continued to grow and extend the joy of Shiny Silver Airstreaming so that each year the Burnstream Court community deepens! We started with 4 Airstreams, grew to 33 and then slimmed down to around a dozen. We hail from all over the U.S.
We are a very loosely organized group of Airstream aficionados who collectively call the Black Rock desert home for one-two weeks of the year. Planning happens via email, conference calls and on Google.
All trailers are laid out in a mandala pattern and have a specific location so coordinate with Monte beforehand and when you arrive. If you arrive at night, just pull off in the back and wait until morning to be parked. The design is a work in progress and final placements may be altered.
There is no group kitchen, but we usually have a camp potluck dinner on Thursday evening. We have lots of great cooks in camp so we enjoy ourselves heartily.
The real success of our camp comes from ALL the contributions, each and every one of us bring. However, we still have decisions to make, logistics to plan. To that end, we've designated groups centered around camp activities and projects. We encourage all camp members to participate and volunteer for tasks, groups or projects. We'll list them as we get closer to the event.
